Forgiveness for Unspoken Sins

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet  said, "Allah has accepted my invocation to forgive what whispers in the hearts of my followers, unless they put it to action or utter it".

Sahih al-Bukhari 2528 (Book 49, Hadith 12).

QUICK LESSONS:
Think good thoughts & Speak good words

EXPLANATIONS:

This hadith speaks of the mercy and forgiveness that Allah has bestowed upon us. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ asked Allah to forgive any sins that are committed in our hearts but not acted upon or spoken out loud. This shows us how merciful and forgiving Allah is; He will even forgive us for thoughts we have never expressed or acted on. It also teaches us to be mindful of our thoughts and words; if we think something wrong but don’t act on it or say it out loud, then we can still be forgiven by Allah. We should strive to keep our thoughts pure and clean so that we can receive His mercy and forgiveness.
