Seeking Forgiveness from Allah

'A'isha reported: I said: Messenger of Allah, the son of Jud'an established ties of relationship, fed the poor. Would that be of any avail to him? He said: It would be of no avail to him as he did not ever say: O my Lord, pardon my sins on the Day of Resurrection.

Ask Allah for forgiveness, help those who are less fortunate than you.

EXPLANATIONS:

This hadith explains that although it is important to establish ties with others and feed the poor, it will not be enough to be forgiven on the Day of Resurrection. One must also ask Allah for forgiveness in order to receive His mercy. This teaches us that we should always remember to seek forgiveness from Allah and repent for our sins as this is essential in order to receive His mercy. We should also strive to help those who are less fortunate than us by providing them with food or other necessities they may need.

صلیٰ اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم

دریا میں کشتیاں

اللہ کی پکڑ

   یعنی میرے تصرف اور اختیار کا تو یہ حال ہے کہ تم کو نفع یا نقصان پہنچانا تو دور کی بات ہے مجھے اپنے بھی نفع و نقصان کا اختیار نہیں۔ فرض کرو جو ڈیوٹی اللہ نے میرے ذمہ لگا رکھی ہے میں اس میں کچھ کوتاہی کرتا ہوں تو میں بھی اللہ کی گرفت میں آسکتا ہوں مجھ میں یہ سکت نہیں کہ اپنے آپ کو اللہ کی گرفت سے بچا سکوں یا کہیں بھاگ کر ہی اس کی گرفت سے بچاؤ حاصل کرسکوں۔

اپنے رب پر

 - فَمَنْ یُّؤْمِنْ مبِرَبِّہٖ فَلَا یَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَّلَا رَہَقًا ۔ ” تو جو کوئی بھی ایمان لائے گا اپنے رب پر اسے نہ تو کسی نقصان کا خوف ہوگا اور نہ زیادتی کا۔ “ - اللہ تعالیٰ ہر کسی کے نیک اعمال کا پورا پورا اجر دے گا ‘ کسی کے ساتھ کوئی زیادتی یا حق تلفی کا معاملہ نہیں ہوگا۔
